Just got an email! "Dr. K, just wanted to let you know that we had a baby boy!" Overcoming the male fertility issue of obstructive azoospermia (where sperm are made in the testicles but the pipes going out to the penis are blocked), Mr. L had sperm extracted from his testicles and frozen away (cryopreservation) for in vitro fertilization (IVF). Mr. L and his wife persevered through two IVF cycles and are now the happy parents to their newborn son. Male infertility can be quite challenging. It is a joy for my staff and me to be a part of the reproductive journey for the lovely couples that we meet at the Southwest Fertility Center for Men.
