Dr. Kuang talks about vasectomy reversals & robotic technology at the Cleveland Clinic
Apr 22, 2009
Dr. Kuang was excited to be a part of the 2008 International Reproductive Medicine Symposium at the Cleveland Clinic. Invited to be a guest faculty speaker, Dr. Kuang lectured on the the current state of using robotic technology to assist in microsurgical vasectomy reversals. The technology shows great promise in improving dexterity, accuracy and precision for non-fellowship trained microsurgeons. In the short term, it may help improve outcomes with the more simple vasectomy reversal called the vasovasostomy. Further research is needed to determine whether it will be able to help improve outcomes for the more complex "bypass" vasectomy reversal called the vasoepididymostomy.
